Program Description

The Biology minor increases education in both theory and application across the life sciences. Laboratory experiences, independent and/or field research supplement the introductory coursework to equip students with the skills necessary to navigate emerging scientific questions and challenges. Students successfully completing this minor are poised to thrive in a variety of dynamic environments beyond Springfield College including, but not limited to, graduate school, including medical or dental school; careers in hospital, governmental, or industrial laboratories, and in allied health fields.

I. Minor Requirements (15 credits):

Select 15 credits of Biology (BIOL) courses numbered 200 and above with at least 3 credits of laboratory or mentored research courses.
